Do you want to become friends with other GIRLS across Washington, DC, explore the outdoors, become a leader of GIRLS and have fun learning and traveling? Want to climb to a Shenandoah mountaintop, meet thousands of GIRLS at an international Scouting event, earn awards and maybe even become an Eagle Scout? How about riding horses, paddling canoes, and getting to know women and men who run businesses or government agencies right here in the District? How about high-adventure at places like Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico or the National Sea Base in the Florida Keys?
You have found the right group for all these things and more in Scouts BSA Troop 248 for Girls. This is the all-girl Troop led by and for GIRLS here in the District of Columbia! All GIRLS are eligible to join from anywhere across the Metropolitan area!
You can join our troop if you are a Girl aged 11 to 17 years of age. You can also join if you have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10. If you are a girl in 3rd-5th grade, you can join us soon enough, but for now, contact us for info on how to join Cub Scout Pack 248!
